Dr. Hamidreza Gharibi
I hold a PhD in Health Psychology and have extensive clinical experience working with adults and couples across a range of therapeutic settings. I support individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related distress, relational difficulties, and significant life transitions.

My therapeutic work is grounded in a psychodynamic framework. In individual therapy, I draw primarily from Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) to support emotional awareness, regulation, and insight into underlying emotional and relational patterns. My work is trauma-informed, with careful attention to safety, pacing, and the impact of both historical and ongoing stressors on emotional functioning.
In couples therapy, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners better understand emotional dynamics within their relationship, strengthen emotional bonds, and develop more secure and responsive patterns of connection.

I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is collaborative, respectful, and attuned to each client’s readiness and capacity for therapeutic work. My practice is multicultural and culturally responsive, with attention to how culture, identity, migration, and broader social contexts shape psychological experience.

I offer therapy in both English and Persian (Farsi) and welcome clients seeking an emotionally focused, reflective, and supportive therapeutic process.
